Why Are Telehandlers Used in Roofing Projects
Roofing crews use telehandlers when materials need to be lifted to a roof that cannot be safely reached with hand-loading or shorter equipment.
The extra reach is important on steep and multi-story roofs. A telehandler can place materials close to where the crew needs them, eliminating the need to carry bundles up ladders or across steep slopes.
Telehandlers are also used to manage debris produced during tear-off. On steep and multi-story roofs, debris can fall with enough force to damage gutters, landscaping and property below; lifting a dumpster or container near the roof edge helps prevent debris from reaching the ground.
