Roof Walkways (Walkway Pads)

Component - Roof Walkways (Walkway Pads) are protective surfaces that can be installed on roof surfaces to create durable walking paths around access and service points.

When Should Roofs Have Roof Walkways?

Similar to a sidewalk, walkway rolls create a defined path for foot traffic near service or access areas like roof hatches, ladders, and HVAC units. They are used to prevent incidental damage and damage from repeated traffic on the roof surface, especially in areas that require regular service.  Depending on the roof system, they may be manufactured from composite materials, rubber or concrete pavers.

The term is often used during maintenance planning or after service traffic begins to wear down the roof surface near regularly accessed areas.
