How NDL Warranties Work
Unlike most roof warranties, an NDL warranty is not simply issued when a project is complete. The system must first be installed by a contractor approved by the manufacturer, and the roof must be installed to meet the manufacturer’s specifications.
Because the manufacturer accepts responsibility for covered leaks, it often influences decisions made by the contractor during the estimating phase, like membrane
Material - A single-ply membrane is a roof coverin... More thickness, fastening methods, and flashing details. These choices directly affect the warranty term. For example, an 80-mil TPO
Material - TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is a whi... More membrane
Material - A single-ply membrane is a roof coverin... More fully adhered to a concrete deck may have longer warranty coverage than a 45-mil TPO
Material - TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is a whi... More membrane
Material - A single-ply membrane is a roof coverin... More mechanically fastened to a wood deck.
In most cases, the manufacturer inspects the completed roof before issuing the NDL warranty.
Once issued, the warranty covers qualifying leaks caused by manufacturing defects or installation errors within the roof system. “No Dollar Limit” means that covered repairs do not have a maximum payout amount.
